Due Diligence – USAID DIV
Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) is a USAID program supporting early stage innovative business concepts through a tiered funding model. DIV hired I-DEV to lead due diligence of a leading East African agri-inputs organization that supports 400,000 smallholder farmers across the region through financing and training. Scope included in-field analysis of global and country-specific operations across 3 priority East African countries to make recommendations on investment needs, structure and appropriateness. I-DEV is also supporting DIV to develop an improved field-based due diligence process that provides valuable insights on long-term viability, anticipated challenges and post-investment capacity development needs that funded companies and NGOs will require.
