Board of Advisors
Kevin is the Operations Coordinator for Atmos Energy, where he manages a $1 billion trading hedging and procurement budget. Previously, he designed and managed the firm’s Sarbanes Oxley and Risk Compliance program. Before beginning at Atmos, Kevin worked with the accounting firm KPMG, where he audited the largest corporate fraud case in United States history. He also worked as a Financial Analyst with Cisco Systems in California’s Silicon Valley at the peak of the tech bubble. Throughout his career in the corporate sector working with several Fortune 500 companies, he has created or spearheaded a number of corporate social responsibility initiatives focused on development abroad, in addition to, community and arts development in and around the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area.
Kevin’s career in corporate finance and management is coupled with a dedication to work with and advise worthwhile, impact-orient organizations. He has worked with, and held leadership positions, at a number of development organizations. He was an International Aid and Development Member of the Addison Rotary, and in 2007, took a sabbatical from his position at Atmos to work on a youth development program launched by the Addision Rotary in India.
Kevin is currently on the Board of Directors of the Multi-Ethnic Economic and Development Center, the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Strategy SubCommittee for Chamber Music International, the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Fundraising SubCommittee for the Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce, and the Co-Chair of the Leadership Development Program for the Leadership Tomorrow Program.
Kevin was born in Singapore and moved to the United States after living briefly in the United Arab Emirates. He earned his Masters in Accounting from the University of Texas, Dallas and his Bachelors of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to English, Kevin is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese.
